Poem: “A Particularly Angular Cis-man”, by Colin James

A PARTICULARILY ANGULAR CIS-MAN

The persiflage was coming from the bar area,
            a longish walk for carthaticism.
            The local flora
            was with me on this,
            negotiable as a leather outcrop
            near the outskirts of town.
My space ship is a one seater
            so I can't give you a lift
            only provide the coordinates.
            Take one step back
            then two steps forward.
            If you see any improvement
            well done!
            Even sincerity is subjective here
            where the space travelers
            prepare their prejudice.

Colin James is a poet living in Massachusetts. He has a couple of chapbooks of poetry published: Dreams Of The Really Annoying from Writing Knights Press and A Thoroughness Not Deprived of Absurdity from Piski’s Porch Press.
