Writing flash fiction...with a mask!
Students of Creative Writing ENGL210 at AUD were pleased to have guest speaker author Awais Khan give a talk on writing and publishing fiction. Awais Khan is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and Durham University. He has studied Creative Writing at the prestigious Faber Academy in London. His work has appeared in The Aleph Review, Missing Slate, MODE and Daily Times. His debut novel, In the Company of Strangers, is published by The Book Guild in the UK and Simon and Schuster in South Asia. His book had a successful launch at Foyles Charing Cross London with subsequent events at Waterstones Cambridge and Dolcino Loughborough. He has been invited to speak about Creative Writing by major television channels including Voice of America, Samaa TV, Maverix media, City42 and PTV Home.
